MY UNITARD OBSESSION

My new obsession is unitards, and of course, I found a store to feed my obsession.  House of Fox released the Anju Basic Unitard, which is available in 7 colors. There's even a bodysuit version available in the same colors as the unitard!

As if this unitard couldn't get any sexier, the unique
raceback design sets it miles apart from the others.

{bilo} recently released its lasted mesh top called Kurta.  With the contrasting colors and geometric design surrounding the neckline makes this top "dressy casual."  Although I've paired the top with a pair of jeans, a maxi skirt or leggings with flats will work just as well.

A VISION IN WHITE

Those who know me are questioning why am I wearing white...lol...since the color white represents purity and innocence. White also aids mental clarity, encourages us to clear clutter or obstacles, evokes purification of thoughts and action, and enables fresh beginnings.

So, the next time you need to clear your mind, surround yourself with white, even if you have to create an all-white room. But, don't pad the walls ;-).

PATTERNS

I know a lot of you are afraid to mix patterns. Don't be; you can have so much fun mixing patterns.  Mixing patterns is simple if you following these eight simple rules.

1. Mix patterns from the same color family: Use hues from one main color when mixing patterns, creating a very subtle look, while still showing your daring side. It’s still visually stimulating for the eye, but in a refined way.
2. Think of some patterns/textures as solids:  Think of a houndstooth, small polka dots, thin stripes, or checks as a solid. They’re small enough and understated that the eye can view them as a solid, even though they’re really not
3. Look for patterns that complement each other:  Stripes and floral always mesh well, as do leopard and stripes or polka dots.
4. Don't go to matchy-matchy:  Don’t go out head-to-toe in one pattern
5. Space the patterns out.
6. Include neutrals in your outfit:  Add a solid with two or more patterns to allow the visual space of the outfit to be broken up
7. Combine patterns of different densities/sizes:  Mix a dense print with a sparse print or a larger print with a smaller print.
8. Use accessories wisely:  Use a colored belt to break up two different patterned pieces as can colored shoes or a neutral purse.

Fashion is supposed to be daring. So, gone on and mix those patterns girl!

SEXY THINGS

I was in a black & white kind of mood today and decided to mix and match a few items that have been patiently hanging around in my inventory, begging to be worn.

I paired the top from a Sticky Fingers (now closed) dress with a skirt I purchased from the newly opened Sexy Things. The skirt has a cute bow at the waist, making it just a little bit dressy, but not too dressy. By adding the right kind of accessories will either make your look semi-dressy or casual.  Of course, the choice is yours!  :-)

I'm always hesitant to buy mesh clothing from stores that I haven't heard anything about due to the fact that not all designers use standard sizing when making mesh clothing.

When The Dressing Room Blue (TDRB) announced its collection for the next two weeks, my heart skipped a few beats from excitement and fear when I saw the Savannah Highwaisted Skirt from Tee*fy. Once I tried it on, I was in love, love, love! Paired with a simple racerback tee from fri.day and jewelry from YS&YS and Chantkare, this skirt can go from casual to formal just by changing your top, jewelry, and shoes. Throwing on a patterned stocking will also work well.  Finish your look my carrying your favorite handbag.

 Even though it's only Thursday, I never pass an opportunity to dress up.  So, when I received the review copy of Halston from Jinx'd, I was excited.

So far, this week has been my best week ever for group gifts.

I had this bright idea of going on a safari thinking that I wouldn't wander too far in. Boy was I ever wrong! I took a wrong turn and was lost. Wearing six-inch heels wasn't a bright idea *sighs and rubs my feet*.  With darkness fast approaching and never one to miss an opportunity to take a picture, I decided to strike a pose while waiting for help.
